We built the app we wished existed.
Brunch Buddy started with a question: why is it so hard to make a new friend after 25? Dating apps are exhausting. Networking events feel transactional. And “let's grab coffee sometime” almost never happens.
So we made the lowest-stakes, highest-warmth way to meet one new person: a Sunday brunch, a quiet match, and a table already reserved.
No swiping. No photos. No agenda. Just the start of something good.
Things people ask before joining.
Wait — is this a dating app?
Nope. Brunch Buddy is explicitly platonic. Our community guidelines, matching algorithm, and product design all reinforce friendship-first. People looking for romance get gently redirected.
Why no photos until you meet?
Because we've all been there: you swipe based on a face and forget there's a whole human attached. Blind matching shifts the focus to what actually makes friendships work — values, humor, curiosity.
Who pays for brunch?
You each pay for your own meal at the restaurant. Brunch Buddy is free during the launch period. Eventually a small membership covers reservations and verification.
What if it's awkward?
We give every match a shared icebreaker and three conversation prompts based on your shared interests. And honestly? Pancakes solve a lot.
When is it launching outside Miami?
Miami is first. NYC, LA, Austin, and Chicago are next. Join the waitlist and tell us your city — we prioritize launches by demand.
